Stories from Brother Wolf
Did you know that we Humans coevolved with Wolf tens of thousands of years? Have you heard that wherever Wolves and Humans coexist around the world there are traditional stories that chronicle the timeless Wolf-Human relationship?
In this February 15th, 2025 online presentation—which is part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration—you hear two of those legends, told by traditional storyteller Lety Seibel. Along with that, you gain a feel for what it was like for our ancestors to hunt with Wolf and raise their children together with Wolves and their pups by hearing our founder Tamarack Song’s stories about living with the Wolf family who adopted him.
Through the experience, you are bound to feel something stir inside you as ancestral memories awaken of the time when our kind ran with Wolf. You will feel the kinship deep in your bones, and your relationship with Wolf will strengthen. So make yourself a cup of tea, find a comfortable place to sit down, and prepare to be taken to a place so far away, yet so familiar and known.
The Secret Language of Wolves and Dogs
Would you believe that the most intricate and poetic languages are those spoken by Humans AND Wolves? Did you know that many Dogs bark and growl so much because they possess the free and expressive spirit of the Wolves they are descended from, only it is trapped in a body that does not allow the full expression of that spirit? Might you like to know why that is so?
And wouldn’t you like to know why Wolves howl—all seventeen of the reasons—and how each howl differs? Wolves wear their feelings on their sleeves; would you like to learn how to read those feelings. There is a saying that a face speaks volumes. It’s no more true than with Wolves, who have what may be the most expressive face in the animal kingdom. In this presentation, you’ll learn to read it.
Along with the above, you will learn so much more about the little-known language of Wolves in this February 22nd, 2025 online presentation, which is part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration. The presenter is our founder Tamarack Song, who is conducting a research project on canine communication.
This presentation is of special interest to you Dog owners, who learn among other things why Dogs jump up on people, why they attack and bite when that is not their primary intention, and how to have a closer, more mutually satisfying relationship with your Dogs.
